Layher Scaffolding Apprenticeship Scheme
Over the past few years, many UK scaffolding firms have been using the Layher Allround system. The huge growth in the use of the system has left SIMIAN the U.K.’s largest scaffolding training provider to launch an apprenticeship scheme which will help candidates become qualified Layher scaffolder’s by 2023.
The new apprenticeship scheme will start in early 2021 and is fully backed by Layher UK. The apprenticeship aims to help scaffolder convert from the traditional tube and fitting scaffolding method. When employers get their staff to embark on the apprenticeship program they will not only benefit from a highly skilled team, but they can also expect to receive £2000 per apprentice if signed up by 2021.
SIMIAN is hosting two assessment days across the UK and hopeful apprenticeship candidates can either attend on either in the North or South of the UK

Speaking of the initiative, Simon Hughes, MD at SIMIAN said: “We’re really pleased that our proposed Layher apprenticeship programme is starting to gain traction and it’s another very exciting addition to the scaffolding training courses that we deliver.
